Colin Lawrence
Director & Actor
Colin is a highly experienced actor and prolific director, having directed over 80 plays.
Colin started acting and directing in London and has been involved in over 160 different productions over the years. Since moving to Cambridge in 1983 he has directed 45 productions, 31 of which have been for Bawds.
He is the author of a number of short plays, several of which have been published, and a full-length stage musical (written with Terry Hawes) The Secret of Santa Vittoria, based on the novel by Robert Crichton.
Colin has appeared in a number of films, including Supervisor, The Earth Eaters, Dialogue, Seconds From Disaster: Nagasaki (President Harry Truman) for the National Geographic Channel in 2012.
A number of his productions have won awards at various festivals, for example: Valentine's Night (First Place at the 2008 Sawston Drama Festival), Dispatches From Hell (First Place at the 2009 Sawston Drama Festival), Incident At Boulonvilliers (1st Place Sawston Festival 2011)
Colin is currently preparing to direct Pickwick Papers, Bawds first production for 2027.
